Book Group Meeting December 9th, 3:00 PM at SKUUF. Our next book group meeting is scheduled for December 9th at 3PM. Please come and invite anyone you think might be interested. We are reading 2 short stories by Leo Tolstoy, Master and Man and How Much Land Does A Man Need. We also, may discuss a third, The Death of Ivan Ilyich. Even though Tolstoy was born a prince and aristocrat with massive land holdings, he was of a spiritual nature and had very progressive beliefs. These tales embody this aspect of Tolstoys nature. While some are put off by the density of some of Tolstoys works, these short stories are not at all difficult and give us access to this master story teller and the beauty of his writing. We hope you will join us.
These stories are free online and can be accessed through The Guttenberg Project
https://www.gutenberg.org Kindle and iBooks. Hard copies of Tolstoys works can be purchased very inexpensively at Amazon or
AbeBooks.com.
