EcoChallenge Australia is drawing to a close.

After 6 years of huge success, the UNEP-DHI EcoChallenge Australia is drawing to a close.

While the event has surpassed the expectations of everyone involved, UNEP-DHI have indicated that their priorities for global water management are at the highest levels ever.  They are no longer in a position to support the ongoing development and maintenance of the EcoChallenge.  As we've seen this year, the backend support is essential for a successful and seamless experience.

It is with some sadness, and a lot of pride, that we make this final call for participation in the event.

Competition for 2019, and the foreseeable future, closes at midnight GMT+8 on November 15.

I'm willing to take any final entries and to try to organise login details over the next 24 hours.

Make your way to http://ecochallengeaustralia.com.au to register.

A reminder that there is a $1000AUD prize pool up for grabs in the form of store vouchers.

I want to thank everyone who has participated over the years and congratulate all the students who've been involved (over 15,000 were preregistered according to my records) - and a reminder that every Australian student has entered and played in EcoChallenge Australia over the years is eligible to apply for the Curtin SHAPE Award (valued up to $3000AUD - subject to T&Cs)

I invite all schools involved to join the Learning Futures Network and to encourage all staff to sign up for our newsletters as we continue to engage with schools and learners across the world, and to create new opportunities
for participation in future focussed learning experiences, including many more that emphasise sustainability.

Thanks everyone!  Good luck for those already entered!  And stay in touch!

We'll make one more announcement in coming weeks about the winners for 2019.

Yours sincerely
