North West Coast Research and Innovation Awards 2020 

If you’ve carried out great work in clinical research or innovation, you have just three weeks to let us know!
 
Our awards recognise and celebrate the work of our brilliant colleagues in health and social care in Cheshire, Merseyside, Lancashire and South Cumbria.

Entries are invited from any health, care and related organisations - NHS, local authorities, universities, businesses, charities and voluntary sector.


The awards will be presented in March, with three free places for each finalist.

The 2019 awards attracted over 150 entries from across the region and proved to be a great success.

The awards are a collaboration between the Innovation Agency, the NIHR Clinical Research Network North West Coastand NIHR Applied Research Collaboration North West Coast (ARC NWC).

Clinical research rising star of the year award - Dr Andy Nixon, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Excellence in delivery of commercial life science award - St Helens & Knowsley Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust & Clyz Labs Limited

Research student of the year award - Naoimh McMahon, University of Central Lancashire and CLAHRC NWC

Outstanding contribution to patient and public involvement in research award - The Life Rooms, Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust

Research for wellbeing award - Art and Storytelling in Health Inequalities Research, Lancaster University

Taking research into practice award - The WOMAN Trial, Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust

Patient safety innovation award - Prevention made real, BBI Ltd

Transformation award - TCAM, Merseyside Pharmacy Local Professional Network

Partnership in innovation award - Well Halton, NHS Halton CCG
