Under one week to the Opening Night Premiere and Post screening party with Patron Michael Caton.


The Capricorn Film Festival is on once again where filmmakers, actors, industry professionals and government will be visiting Yeppoon to lend their expertise to the event, held at the Yeppoon Town Hall.
 
Capricorn Film Festival 2019 will host six Central Queensland premieres of feature films and documentaries, over the course of four days including two outdoor screenings.
 
Festival Patron, Michael Caton opens the 5th annual Capricorn Film Festival with the QLD Premiere of feature film, Bellbird including post screening Q&A with a filmmaker. Bellbird is set over four seasons on a humble Northland dairy farm, Bellbird is the story of a dairy farmer struggling to cope with the sudden death of his beloved wife, and the gradual bond he builds with his gentle only son and the local community.
 
The film stars New Zealand industry star Cohen Holloway, who will be in attendance for a special Q&A after the screening.

ONE LINER

SHORT SYNOPSIS
Ibrahim, Suleiman, Manar and Altayeb have been friends for over 45 years. They left their motherland in the 1960s and 1970s to study film abroad and founded the Sudanese Film Group in 1989. After years of distance and exile, they are reunited, hoping to finally make their old dream come true; to bring cinema to Sudan.

Winner: Best Independent Film at the Gold Coast Film Festival

SHORT SYNOPSIS
As a young couple struggle with the demands of life with a new baby, they plow forward on production for their latest self-funded independent feature film. From the prolific indie duo Caitlin Farrugia & Michael Jones, this is a gentle comedy-drama that investigates the ways young artists can balance the challenge of starting a new family while still scratching that creative cinematic itch.
