Is this week the last hurrah for fall? 13*F this morning?
Are we looking at colder and longer winters?
My woodpile has a dent in it already and I am hoping
we have enough wood to last to the spring.
No matter, I just climb into Serious Knitting Mode a little earlier than planned.
Knitting a LOT through the winter is #1 on my list
of what to do in the cold, dark, ice and snow.
I've enjoyed wearing my Acorn Cowl in this bitter weather.
It snugs up right around my neck and is easily removed when I get warm.
The pattern is now available for $ download here
and am working on a NEW pattern for Wee Acorn Socks
(notice the theme here?!?)
Knit with NORD and DURASPORT, I am delighted to be able to report that after a year of wearing NORD yarn, I am totally convinced it is the BEST thing to happen to cold feet since its cousin DURASPORT.
I have made the plunge to stock all its colors.
Order NORD here.
I am off to the RIP VAN WINKLE FALL KNITTING RETREAT this weekend
and am looking forward to seeing some of you there. We'll have a GRAND time!!!!
There is snow on the mountain already!!! This year we will focus on The Celtic Plait Aran;
Northern Exposure Hat and Thrummed/Stuffed Mittens,
let the cold winds blow...we are knitting Winter Armor.
Details are on the website.
