Something to Think About...

Cheetos brand crunchy cheese snacks are good.  Public parks are good.  Your science teacher is good (probably).  Warm socks are good.  Stopping global warming would be good.  Frodo is good.  So is Mozart.

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.
---Micah 6:8 (NIV)

I like good stuff.  I will often seek it out, even.  I think many other people do, too.  I also think for many that applies to how they go about living life.  What is the good way to live life?  Does it include Netflix, food drives, used cars, air conditioning, hard work, nice pens, serving others, patience, serving self?  What if some Old Testament prophet brought a word from God that says, "There sure is a lot going on, lots of different things to focus on.  I'll tell you what good is.  I'll boil it all down like a nice dish of risotto." (Note: Those words are inspired by the Bible, but aren't in it.)

Take a minute to talk with God about how important GOOD is to you. What does it mean to you?  What does it mean FOR you?  Do you feel a sense of calling in any of this?  If so, can you name it?
