Sunday School Fall 2019
Classes:
4-7 yr olds- Jonny and Rachael Duncan- Major Bible Stories/Characters, Miracles of Jesus, Parables, Calling of the disciples
•3-5th Grade- Beth Shustack -My Purpose will Stand! (Jn Piper; Truth 78); 40 wks
•6-8th Grade- Lori Kapiloff -Abiding in Jesus (Truth 78); 28 wks;
•9-12th Grade- Tyler and Grace; this group will be meeting with the adults in the auditorium and studying Apologetics.

Adult Courses:

Apologetics- Greg Phelan, Tyler Hallenbeck - This course will consider how we explain and discuss the Christian faith. Why do Christians believe what they believe? Is it reasonable? How do we explain those reasons to people who don't know Jesus and who have different barriers to faith? A large portion of the class will be devoted to examining several the most common and challenging objections to belief in Jesus.

Church History- Chris Kapiloff- Church History studies the events that have led Christianity to where it is today.  Events that took place hundreds of years ago continue to impact how we worship, how we define and understand God, and how we treat each other.  This 10 week course will study the events from Emperor Constantine in the early 4th century up to the Reformation in the 16th century. Each of the ten chapters we read together will focus on an event, a movement or a political occurrence that deeply affected the church and its members.  Each Sunday’s discussion will focus on our faith today and how events of the past have led us to a better understanding of God or to understand why Christianity has moved away from the truths of the Gospel.
