This email represents the first in what will be a series of emails* over the coming days and weeks as we earnestly pray, desire and strive to head back to Papua New Guinea (PNG) by this coming January.

Why a 'series'? Because we need your help!

As you might have previously seen from my (tOdd's) recent social media posts (via Facebook & Instagram), I have been posting a series of short videos (no longer than sixty seconds each) describing what we've been up to, where we hope to be-and-when, what our current needs are and more.

I've been labeling these social media posts as 'followUPdate' (s) because they're both a follow-up and an update to what we're currently pursuing. To see the six (6) videos in order check them out at the following six Facebook links.

Here, in fact, is the fourth video outlining what our current needs are/were (at the time of the video) and what our current faith goal date is in order to be at "100%" of our ministry budget set by Wycliffe.

[ *as an FYI: for those of you new to our team/newsletter list (welcome aboard!), this and the upcoming emails aren't 'normal' per se, as we typically communicate on a quarterly basis ]

Our current ministry budget deficit is now at the $1,400 per month amount (was $1,600 at the time of the video!) and our deadline/goal to get to "100%" is December 5. Doing so by that date allows us to purchase the necessary airline tickets, etc. in time to leave in January.

PRAYER & PRAISE POINTS:

Please pray for our family as we strive in faith to once again be fully funded (by December 5th).
BIG praise and thanks for how God has already used many of you!
Pray as we seek to transition well from Oregon back to PNG in January (once at 100%) this time leaving Andrew stateside.
Continued prayer for Andrew as he wraps up his first semester at Northwest Christian University in Eugene, OR.
Pray for Alyssa as she continues to 'be present' no matter the location.
Praise that we've had a 'successful' home assignment (aka furlough) thus far and that we wrap it up well in the final few months with family and friends (you!).
Big praise that Andrew continues to be doing well in college.
Praise for those of you we've had a chance to see, meet and story with--brief as some of the interactions might have been.
Prayer for additional opportunities to meet with some of you (and the time to do so) as we finish this season of time in Oregon.
