We are in a new season for Stride Ministries.

Though we have said goodbye to many loyal attenders who have PCS'd (moved to another base), we have a new crop of mostly F-35 Crew Chiefs who are regular attenders now.  Here is some of what is going on:
Annabelle is an F-35 Crew Chief
Annabelle is a newer Airman (yes females are Airmen too). She works on the flight line of the F-35’s as a Crew Chief. She is a sweet southern gal who is sometimes subjected to the crude ways of the Air Force maintenance world. When she found our ministry she was discouraged by some circumstances in her life & frustrated with the way she had been treated by others in her military dorm. She jumped right in to our ministry and became an active participant in nearly all of our events. She found acceptance and a sense of community. Last week her parents came to town for a visit & they joined our Stride Friday night. Annabelle's Dad, while choking back tears, admitted to me that they had been praying for her to find solid Christian Fellowship. He was so thankful that Stride had been a huge answer to prayer in his daughter's life.

Austin is an Air Force Cop
Austin had been on the fringes of our ministry for quite some time. Really, he was friends with Matt, who was a weekly attender with Stride. When Matt deployed, it left a huge hole in Austin’s social support network so Austin then started attending regularly. While he was helping me put a metal roof on our house he shared some stories from his latest deployment. Even though he was an Air Force member, he deployed with the marines and became one of them, kicking down doors and doing dangerous stuff. This had left him wounded inside. As Austin became more involved with our group, he felt a sense of community & purpose and decided he wanted to get baptized to "help him feel better inside". I spoke to him about the true meaning of Baptism and challenged him that maybe he might be 'dating' God and not fully committed to his faith quite yet. Three weeks later on a lonely rock in Moab Utah Austin became a believer! Austin is TDY in school now and is soon to PCS to England. Would you pray for his faith journey and for a Christian Community at his new base?

Want some new ways to STALK US? ... Uh... I mean prayerfully check up on us :)

Pray Regularly for our Airmen please!
There are lots of lonely Airmen on our base. For whatever reason our base is experiencing 3x the normal suicide rate in 2019. Would you pray that we can find those lonely and struggling Airmen and invite them into our community so they can hear the good news about Christ?  Would you set an alarm on your phone daily or weekly and just spend a few minutes in prayer for us?
