10am Sunday Worship Service

Join us as we come together to worship and grow in our relationship with God and others!

Current Series: Te Ara O Te Ora – The Weave of Life
Over term 4 we will be exploring some of the concepts that underpin our faith and our Christian worldview. Topics we will be covering include: God, the Bible, sin, Israel, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the resurrection, Church and Heaven. Te Ara O Te Ora can mean “the way of life” or “the pathway of life”. As we explore these topics we hope that they are an encouraging reminder of the faith pathway we walk and the God who we have hope and trust in. The term “ara” can also refer to a line of weaving and, in particular, the first line from which the rest is shaped. Jesus called his disciples saying, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” As we weave our lives around God’s truth, we also hope this season is a way of weaving our nets as we intentionally build towards being a more outward reaching church. Te Ara O Te Ora – The Weave of Life.

Today’s Message: Te Ara O Te Ora, Week 6
The Holy Spirit Jesus says, “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth … he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.” Today as we continue our series Te Ara O Te Ora, Pastor Cathie Boyce shares with us on the topic of the Holy Spirit.

Recently some children have been using the Fountain Drink Machine belonging to Reading Cinema which has created a mess needing cleaning up from the Reading Staff. The Youth Team have kindly made available their area adjacent to where morning tea is held for a safe place where children can play following the service. Thank you!

Lower Hutt Foodbank writes: “We at the Foodbank greatly appreciate the continued support of your church with their regular donations of food for the many families in the Hutt who are in need.  We are largely dependent upon the ongoing generosity from the Hutt community, and yours and other churches are our most consistent donors. We can always use basic food items such as tins of food, cereals, pasta and sauces, jam and peanut butter, sugar, flour, tea and soup.  Excess vegetables and fruit from your gardens is always well received too.” A basket to drop donated goods can be found outside our auditorium doors on a Sunday or can be dropped off to the office.
