2019 Photographic Award winners announced
Congratulations to the winners of the 2019 Photographic Awards, with two young Subiaco residents showing their true colours with winning black and white entries.
The overall winner was Carine-based photographer Kay Cypher, whose technically challenging capture of two birds mid-flight won over the judges. Five other photographers picked up awards across the three main categories - 'Mobile', 'Open', and 'Subiaco' - as well as children and youth award winners.
Congratulations to the People's Choice Winner Train at Dawn by Glenn Casey (pictured above), who collected the most votes during the exhibition period at Subiaco Library. Visit the City's website to view the winning photographs.

Subiaco Library in the nineties
With Subiaco Library's major refurbishment set to kick off next month, here's a flashback to what the library looked like in the early nineties. The nineties saw the introduction of the large front counter along with accents of emerald green vinyl. The original 1970s timber shelving around the perimetre of the building is still here today and will remain a feature of the library after the refurbishment. Stay tuned for an update on the refurbishment of Subiaco Library in the December edition of the Subiaco Curator. For more information on the refurbishment project visit the City's website.
