Christmas is 41 Days Away ~
I wonder how the Arach's celebrate the winter solstice at Red Dragon's Keep.
I'll bet they bring in the Yule log to burn for a week in the great hall's huge fireplace. Evergreen garlands drape the walls and wreaths hang on doors. The scent of pine boughs fills the air. Special treats are made - pies and candy and cookies. A goose and ham are cooked and served. Bread and butter and what winter greens can be found grace the table.
Wine and mead are passed to everyone in the hall. As the hours count down on the longest night, fear of the dark tries to take hold. The hope of light's return is kept alive in the good cheer of friends and family. May they find joy and abundance in the New Year.
