Booster News
Due to the weather-induced snow day this week and the resultant rescheduled band concert, we had to reschedule our Booster meeting. The new date is Weds., Nov. 20, 7pm in the choir room.
Collage Concert tickets are now on sale at www.wlcstickets.com. These concerts do sell out, so get your tickets early! Our concerts are scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 12, and Friday, Dec. 13. Stay tuned for Signup opportunities as we'll need ushers for both nights (including a head usher), room chaperones (to supervise students in classrooms when they are not on stage) & ticket people.
Last week, the band program received a very generous sponsorship donation from Mr. Mel Rookus. We would like to offer our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Mr. Rookus for his generosity. Did you know there are sponsorship forms for families and businesses alike? I have been remiss in publishing them this year. I'll just blame senioritis... Family sponsorships begin at $40. Business sponsorships begin at $75 and go up from there. We've had waning interest in the sponsorship program in recent years, but we always welcome sponsors!

Recording Secretary - comes to meetings, takes minutes, voting member
Corresponding Secretary - handles correspondence, which is mostly thank you notes.
If you're new to the program, welcome! Don't be afraid to jump in. There are many jobs that need to be done, both big and small. If you're a returning parent, please help our new families learn the ropes! Share your experiences, talk about the friends you've made and the laughs you've had.

Scrip
 ThankScriping Day is coming. It is scheduled for November 21st. This happens only 3 times a year. Get the biggest bonus rebates of the season on dozens of eGift cards and reloads. One day only. And since it is in November and it’s only eGift cards and reloads, 100% of the rebate goes back to the student!!
Our ScripNow bonuses are ongoing! This promotion runs 11/1-11/30/19, and is only good for ScripNow purchases! Regular gift card purchases will have incentives split as per usual. We will not be applying this bonus to purchases of physical gift cards; it is only good for electronic/e-gift cards and reloads of existing cards. 100% of the incentive money earned from ScripNow & card reloads for the entire month of November will be given to the designated student's account. Those incentive dollars can be used to make trip payments, camp payments, pay for instrument repairs & lessons. Take advantage!
Wondering about e-gift cards for gift giving? Some of them can be scheduled to send on a particular date to the recipient. You can also print them yourself & package them in whatever cute ways you come up with. Thinking outside the box can help you generate some real money to be used for incentive purposes.
What is Scrip? FAQ! Our Scrip program is an ongoing fundraiser. It runs all year, with order pickups on Thursday evenings in the Commons at WLN, 5:30p-6:30 (Please confirm with Missy that she'll be at the school on pickup day! Her schedule has gotten crazy because of work.) Scrip is the ONLY way to accumulate fundraising funds specifically for your student! It's a great way to pay for camp,trips, lessons, or instrument repairs. Start accumulating your Scrip dollars now for those future big purchases! Please check out the Scrip page on our website for important enrollment information! We also have a new email address for Scrip questions/comments: wlnmusicboostersscrip@gmail.com Note: we can only accept cash or checks at the Scrip table.
Scrip orders placed online by Sunday nights will be available for pick up on Thursday evenings. If orders are placed and you want to arrange for pickup, please email wlnmusicboostersscrip@gmail.com to make arrangements for pick up with Missy Kirshner.
Scrip has made it possible to pay for your online Scrip orders using a credit card! There is an additional 2.46% fee, so it may not be worth it on some purchases, but it may be great for others. Your mileage may vary!
Disney Trip
Stay tuned in the coming week for an announcement regarding a trip meeting as well as a rehearsal schedule for it as well.
Our final trip payment (Hallelujah!) is due Dec. 16. We have 2 fundraisers that are running through the end of this month (31 Bags & Thermal Tumblers). Once we have those totals in sometime the first week of December, we'll be able to give you the final payment amount. Don't forget that you can request a Scrip disbursement to make a partial or complete trip payment AND 100% of the incentives from ScripNow purchases (and card reloads) are being directed to student accounts. See a note above about Thankscriping Day too...
Checks should be made payable to WLNMB and marked Disney trip in the Memo line. They can be dropped off with the trip registration form in 2 places at the school: in the front office, in an envelope marked "Mary Hulliberger - Disney trip" or in the band box, which is a locked box just outside Mrs. H's office door in the band room. Congratulations to our Marching Knights on a fabulous season!
Help Needed: Our uniform chair, Jessica Mukavetz, does such a great job fitting our Marching Knights. The job she does is a BIG one. Jessica could likely use some help in the form of a co-chair. If you'd like to learn the ropes, let her know. jmukavetz@yahoo.com
We are also looking for someone to take over a couple of band camp related roles for next summer. Our current section olympics chair is graduating & needs to be replaced. Additionally, we need someone to coordinate the post-camp sub lunches (collect money, order & distribute subs). Please let Mo Seifert know if you're interested in one or both of these roles.
