Sponsor a Species!

Launching this December!

Give the gift that lives on this holiday season with Greenways

The perfect eco-friendly gift for any nature lover!
Make a real difference by symbolically adopting either a frog, bear, salmon, owl, eagle or mushroom.

For the holiday season, Greenways will be launching a fun new way to give: by sponsoring a local species in the name of the recipient of your gift. Its simple, you select the species you would like to sponsor, the amount you would like to give, the recipient of your choice and then Greenways will mail them a personalized card featuring the species you chose to sponsor in their name! There is also an e-card option.

Why sponsor a species?

- You can feel proud about doing something positive for the environment & your community

- Cards are unique and individualized for each recipient.

- This gift helps restore, sustain and protect natural areas and critical habitats for the benefit of our community & the planet.

Special thank you to Steve Williamson & Eiko Jones Photography for donating the stunning images that will be featured on the cards.

Project Update - The Magic of Giving

A huge THANK-YOU to all of our donors that support Greenways by allowing us to put their donation towards where it is most needed. From keeping the lights on in the office to helping us build a safe ramp for the bridge over kingfisher creek, these donors support all of the work that goes on in the background to get projects off of the ground so that we can help kids get outside and learn about nature, our Streamkeepers out enhancing salmon habitat and so much more!

In the past year, we have had donations from the Browns Bay Chum Derby, 100 Women who cares, BeachFire Brewing, Bow & Antler Screen Printing,Cedar Elementary School, Centre for for Spiritual Living, Healthyways Natural Foods, IG Wealth Management, Teakerne Holdings, and so many other individual donors... we couldn't do it without you!

Thank you to each and every one of you for your support of all of the great work that Greenways does everyday to enhance natural areas for people and wildlife in Campbell River.

Greenways @ Festival of Trees!
|Museum at CR|

We are thrilled to be part of the museum's annual FESTIVAL OF TREES which attracts hundreds of locals over the month of December. Organizations and businesses adopt a tree and give it an individual decorative Christmas'y touch.

Keep an eye out for the Greenways' tree which will be featuring decorations made from natural materials! With the help of students from Southgate Middle School, we gathered local botanical materials and then transformed them into beautiful and simple decorations. Using natural materials, these decorations aren't creating more waste and if we're being honest, the process of making homemade crafts is just plain fun!

And a huge thank-you to the Museum at CR for providing a free storage space for the Greenways tools and equipment for the past three years!
