Some People I Want You To Meet

For my friends from Central and Southern California, I want to invite you to a special day with me. Bob Prater of Bakersfield, CA and Arnita Taylor from Dallas, TX are coming to Southern California the weekend of November 23 & 24 to release the book we all coauthored together: A Language of Healing for a Polarized Nation. This book is designed to help you discover how to facilitate more generous conversations with your family and friends about race, religion, sexuality, and politics.

I would love for you to meet them and be inspired by their stories and their passion to help cultivate better conversations in our culture that are based on mutual respect and compassion, even beyond our differences.  I promise you, you won't be disappointed.

If you're available I'd love to share my joy with those who can join us.

Book Launch -- Saturday, November 23  • 1:30 - 4:30 pm
We will gather in the chapel at Life Pacific University, 1100 W Covina Blvd in San Dimas, CA and Dr. Jim J. Adams will emcee for us. All three of us coauthors will be there and we'll have copies of the book available so you'll have a chance to get all three of us to sign it. There will also be refreshments. Stop in for a bit, or stay for the whole thing.  You can RSVP here so we can plan for you, but it isn't required.  (Scroll down to the event notifications.)

CultureBrave Gathering - Sunday, November 24  •  2:00 - 4:00 pm
Cultural Interiors, 4421 W. Slauson Ave. L.A. CA. 90043. CultureBrave is a group of people in Southern California dedicated to providing a safe space to have respectful and informative conversations about all things relating to diversity and inclusion. There is ample parking in the back and refreshments will be served.

If you can join us for either or both of these opportunities I would love to see you there and give you an opportunity to meet some people I deeply admire.

With love,
