Shaping the Future
PDA National Conference programme revealed

Find out how working together will shape the future of Pharmacy Practice.

For decades, the most visible pharmacy operation in primary care was largely a retail service embodied by a supplier relationship with consumers. When ten years ago the PDA started to avidly campaign to get the individual pharmacist practitioner much more recognised within the primary care team as a healthcare professional through the provision of clinical pharmacy services, many laughed at such a proposal; claiming it would never happen.

They’re not laughing now…..

Although much progress has been made, the Road Map for the development and recognition of the clinical skills of the individual pharmacist practitioner has at times been difficult and it is vital that we continue to influence and shape the future of pharmacy practice, whichever sector of the profession it happens to be in,

This year’s PDA National Conference, which will take place in Birmingham on 28 – 29 March 2020, will look at the hurdles that we still need to overcome and will explore the tactical proposals being made by the PDA to ensure that we develop practice in a way that provides benefits to patients, the taxpayer, the NHS and ultimately to professionally fulfilling careers for pharmacists.

Act now to secure your place at what will be another high calibre two-day conference that will bring together some of the most influential people in pharmacy from both the UK and overseas.

We will be announcing more sessions in the coming weeks
