From War to Peace
David Nibayubahe ’23 was born in a refugee camp in Tanzania, where his family was trying to escape the ravages of war in Africa. Now, he is thriving as a student at Maryville College, pursuing his dream of a career as a businessman. “I want to use the skills that I’m learning to help the world, to give back,” he said. Ever wanted to experience the history, culture and choral music of England and Scotland? The “Of Stones and Stars” 2020 Companion Tour to England and Scotland, a trip that parallels MC's Concert Choir Spring Tour, is open to and designed for community members, faculty, staff, alumni, parents and other friends. Mark Hall Exhibit
An exhibition by MC Professor Emeritus of Art Mark Hall is on display at the Clayton Center for the Arts this month, and a reception will be held on Nov. 15. When the exhibition is over, Hall has an interesting plan for the drawings and prints on display, as a gift to the MC community during the Bicentennial. Read more! |

Basketball Tickets
Tickets and season passes for MC home basketball games – men’s and women’s – are now available for advance purchase at the Clayton Center Box Office or through the CCA’s online Etix ticketing platform, which allows fans to download tickets and passes on their mobile devices or print tickets at home. Dec. 3: Christmas Open House
The Blount County Alumni Association will host a Christmas Open House on Tues., Dec. 3 from 4:30 until 7 p.m. in Willard House on the MC campus. Maryville College alumni and friends are invited to enjoy beautiful Christmas decorations, delicious baked goods and holiday music. Bring your camera for photos with Santa!
Dec. 6: "Messiah" Performance
Join us for a special bicentennial performance of Handel’s “Messiah,” brought to you by Clayton Homes, at 8 p.m. in the Clayton Center for the Arts' Ronald and Lynda Nutt Theatre.
