“I am the Bread of Life,” Jesus told them.  John 6:35
Sunday we will recognize those veterans among us for their service.
On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day in the eleventh month of the year 1918, an armistice was signed, ending the “war to end all wars.” November 11was set aside as Armistice Day, later renamed Veterans Day, in the United States to remember the sacrifices that men and women made during the war in order to ensure a lasting peace.

What's New

Thanksgiving Potluck
Come and join us for Thanksgiving potluck on Sunday, November 24.  We'll give glory and thanks to God for his many blessings throughout the year!

Jesus Cares Ministries presentation
Sunday we welcome Pastor Joel Gaertner with our national church body who will lead us through Worship at the Cross.  This is a service designed for those with special needs and their families.  Since we are considering this ministry next year, it will be good to get an idea of what its like.  This is also a very under served segment of the population that needs the comfort of the gospel.  Feel free to join us that morning to see what it's all about.

Special guest musician
Chris Driesbach will be at Risen Savior on December 8 to lead us in our music that Sunday.  Chris is a traveling musician in our church body.  He has played a couple of times in the last couple years, only during midweek.  We are happy to host him in a few weeks for a Sunday.

News and Notes

Welcome Home worship series
Our worship series called, Welcome Home, continues next Sunday at 10:30.  We'll take a hard look at the ugliness of death, but also the beautiful gospel truth.  Christians have an everlasting family.  Christian loved ones who have died are not gone.  We do look forward to reuniting with them in our true home--heaven.  Join us for worship next Sunday at 10:30 am.

Google or Facebook reviews
Please consider going to our Facebook or Google pages and leaving us a review.  This goes a long way in helping guests to know what to expect if they visit.

Online Giving is here
Many of us pay our bills entirely online, buy things online, and generally spend a good amount of time online.  Now you can give to the gospel ministry of Risen Savior online too.  It’s available through Tithe.ly.  The easiest way to start is to download the app.  You will be able to set up one time gifts, recurring gifts, monitor and change anything right from your phone.  You can also access it from risensaviorchurch.org and click “Give” in the upper right hand corner.  We are excited about this additional way in which you can give your gospel motivated offerings to the Lord for the ministry work we are doing here.

Videos to see

When Jesus raised a dead man, Jesus showed who he is and what he's doing for you.
Weekly Sunday sermon videos are available linked on our Facebook page or also on Vimeo.  Feel free to check out previously recorded Sunday sermon videos on YouTube.  Just another way of linking you to the Word of God.
