On December 9th, we will celebrate the fifth Annual Globy Awards, which recognizes and honors extraordinary business, civic, and community leaders, who have distinguished themselves through the extraordinary work they have done in Greater Philadelphia.

Jay Shah is a leader in the hospitality business, committed to implementing sustainable and innovative practices that benefit the environment and our local and global communities.
 As the Chief Executive Officer of Hersha Hospitality Trust, and a member of the Board of Trustees, Hersha has been involved in all areas of the business with a particular emphasis on strategic relationships, capital transactions, asset management, and acquisitions.
Hersha's portfolio includes over 125 hotels, representing the biggest brands in the business and "one of a kind" luxury and lifestyle hotels, including The Rittenhouse, Westin, and Hampton Inn Philadelphia - Convention Center hotels in Philadelphia, among several others in our region.
In 2010, Hersha Hospitality Management developed and implemented EarthView®, a unique program dedicated to sustainable hospitality. They most recently were awarded the 2018 Adrian Award for Corporate Social Responsibility by the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) – a global hospitality industry organization with 7,000 members across 35 countries. This award recognizes companies that are leaders in environmental impact, associate relations, and community support.

- Global Philadelphia Association members receive one FREE ticket.*

- Additional tickets for guests are $55.00
- Tables for 10 guests can also be reserved for $500. With each table purchase, your company name will be prominently displayed.
*MUST be a current GPA member with dues paid. If you are not a current member and register for a free ticket, you will receive an invoice for an annual membership.

CHARITABLE GIVING
 At this year's event, we ask guests to bring an item from the list below to our luncheon, which will then be donated to Cradles to Crayons.
Cradles to Crayons provides children, from birth through age 12, living in homeless or low-income situations, with the essential items they need to thrive – at home, at school and at play. They supply these items free of charge by engaging and connecting communities.
- Books (baby board books and chapter books are greatly appreciated, as well as any other books up to reading age of grade 6)
- Socks and underwear (for children up to ages 14 - 16)
- New batteries (AA or AAA)
