Escape the chilly evening and political chaos for a few hours as you listen to the Australia House Ensemble, professional Australian musicians working in leading London/UK orchestras. Enjoy world class music in the elegant surroundings of Australia House with a glass or two of fine Australian wine.
Welcome winter with Vivaldi’s Winter from the Four Seasons; bring your dancing shoes for a Tango based on Chopin and Grainger’s Handel on the Strand. On the day after Remembrance Day, reflect on the sacrifice of those who lost their lives in the Great War to the heartbreakingly beautiful Dido’s Lament (Purcell) arranged for strings by the extraordinary Joe Chindamo. Celebrate the energy and resilience of the Australian Spirit in This House (Chindamo) written for the Centenary of the magnificent Australia House.

In her second solo exhibition at the Rebecca Hossack Gallery, New Zealand-based artist, Holly Zandbergen, explores colour and mark-making in thirteen new paintings alternating subjects of mountains and flowers. Using an impasto application of paint, variables such as speed, force and motion activate endless possibilities within each mark to represent the strong and opposing forms of mountains and the fragility and impermanence of flowers.
