WHAT’S HAPPENING IN HARRISBURG?
SpotlightPA is a new partnership between The Philadelphia Inquirer, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and PennLive/Patriot-News. They recently published the results of a year-long investigation into how lawmakers from all parties hide expenditures from the public. Hours later the Senate Republican leadership pushed to insert a new provision that would have made it even harder to hold legislators accountable. However, this investigation forced Republican leadership to reverse course.
