The 'Diseases of Pollution and Urbanization' Symposium has themes that will touch everyone affected directly or indirectly by urban modern living:
Lung and cardio-vascular diseases: for example COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) and asthma;
Infectious diseases: caused by overcrowding or insanitary conditions;
Diseases from unhealthy lifestyles: for example,bad diets and diabetes;
Mental health problems: resulting from stress or isolation.
Our talks will be divided into three topics:
Water pollution, toxicity and infectious diseases;
Diet, lifestyle and diseases; &
Air pollution and disease.
Participate in an event where researchers will share insights from their latest research in these and other related areas, for disease detection, prevention and therapy.
