Shelter Animal Rescue Group Fall 2019

Happy Thanksgiving from SARG! A lot has been happening with SARG lately. The yard sale was a huge success thanks to all the volunteers. Believe it or not, we have actually stated taking donations for next year's sale! Crazy as it seems, but I think this is one of the reasons our sales are so successful. Taking donations year round helps everyone. Also our last Mast General adoption event of the year was fantastic! We will be making plans for next year's dates so keep an eye on the calendar for those.

Even though it's not yet Thanksgiving, SARG will be taking holiday pictures on Saturday November 23rd at Oak Ridge Florist from 10-2. This will allow enough time for the pictures to be edited and given back to everyone. For a donation you will receive all your digital pictures with all rights to print or distribute as you need. We have great photographers who have taken pictures of people, dogs, cats and even a pet fox last year. Bring your family - both 2 and 4 legged- out for a wonderful holiday picture.

Also thinking of Christmas and the holiday season, SARG will once again be participating in the Oak Ridge Christmas Parade on December 14th. We hope to see you all there.

Even though this seems to be all we have at the moment, I'm sure I'm forgetting something - not unusual - I forgot my cell phone at the gym last week! Luckily it was right where I had left it. So with that I'll say thank you to everyone who makes it possible for SARG to be apart of our community. Have a wonderful Turkey Day.

Rainbow Bridge

Willow - Beloved German Sheppard of Mike Lawson and Jackie Friederichsen died after a lingering illness. She is much missed by her German Sheppard sister and her SARG kitty siblings.

Neela - The Ramseier family—Jaime , Doug & Kaelynn—lost their German Shepherd mixed breed girl. They took Neela from the Oak Ridge Shelter to foster for SARG & ended up keeping her. She’ll be missed very much.

Rocky—beloved Boxer mix who shared his life with Vada Oberlin—crossed the Rainbow Bridge unexpectedly after a short illness. He was 14 years old & had a great life with Vada, who misses him every day.

Will is doing great. We love him more everyday. He has improved greatly in regard to behaviors and has been called a perfect gentleman by our neighbors. We feel very fortunate to have him. He sends big puppy dog kisses to his guardian angels at SARG.
