The official, Club sanctioned and original QRP session takes place this Saturday as scheduled!
Interestingly, it's been one year (or one week) since we've been to Wabasso Causeway last. Last time there Eric/KJ4YZI ran a pile up using a 1/4 wave antenna with the counterpoise in the water.

Set up whenever you'd like and as early at 7am. Run until noon - 1pm then decide on lunch venue for those so inclined.
Drinks and coffee (yes, it's cool enough) provided along with bagels and choice of shmeer.
Please observe all customary QRP operating courtesies so multiple operators can enjoy the bands.
Special Activities
1) Winlink Peer-2-Peer Demo: At the recent DU some us tried showing how this mode operates. For anyone interested, we can provide hands-on demo. Bring your rig (with TNC) and computer to participate or watch over a shoulder or two.
2) Red Cross Radio Drill: This is a bit complicated so full information will be distributed at the QRP event. The Red Cross is especially interested in FL and GA hams participate. So for now,
---10:45am =>D-star check ins on reflector 39D
---10:45am => HF check ins on 14265 and 7480
---11:15am => Exercise #1 begins (handout provided)
---Noon => Radio rendezvous on D-Star and HF for feedback
---12:45pm => Exercise #2 begins (handout provided)
---2pm => Decision on whether to run Exercise #3.
