Please Give Today to the Lobular Breast Cancer Alliance and Promote Desperately Needed Research on Lobular Breast Cancer
 
Today is “Giving Tuesday”—the day when thousands around the world think about what is important to them and how they can help the organizations working on issues they care about.  When I think about what is important to me, I dream about the day when we have clinical trials focused on Lobular Breast Cancer and ample information about the best treatments for ILC.

Thanks to generous donations so far, we are 1/3 of the way to our goal of $20,000 by the end of the year.  Will you help us reach our goal so we will get the full $20,000 in matching funds?

Three short years ago there were few resources, scant information and very little research dedicated to the unique aspects of lobular cancer. That all changed when thirty patients with invasive lobular breast cancer (ILC) gathered at the first ever ILC Symposium in Pittsburgh.  We left determined to address the lack of information and research, and launched the Lobular Breast Cancer Alliance (LBCA) soon afterwards.
 
There is no other organization like the LBCA - dedicated to education and advancing research on lobular breast cancer.  

Today, on Giving Tuesday, I am asking you to help us because LBCA is at a crossroads. We have outgrown our scrappy volunteer, grassroots organization. Our membership and the demand for more information is growing exponentially. We have more opportunities to advance lobular research than ever before.  It’s time to build our organization so we can continue to expand and be the go-to source of information about ILC and hub for promoting ILC research.
