Ingate Launches SIParator®/Firewall® S42 and S82 SBCs
Flexible High-Performance Desktop/Rackmount/Wall-Mount
Session Border Controllers with 1/10 Gbps SFP+ Fiber Ports
The new S42 model replaces Ingate´s S52 model, at the same price, with same or better performance and features, while the S82 has about twice the performance and close to Ingate’s S95 server-based SBC, specified at handling 4000 concurrent sessions with voice media. An updated brochure, which also includes Ingate’s S22 base SBC model that was introduced in the September newsletter, shows the features and specifications of Ingate’s entire SIParator®/Firewall® range.
S42 and S82 are Flexible
and for All Purposes
The new S42 and S82 models have hard disks for permanent logging and monitoring, ethernet as well 1/10 Gbps SFP+ network ports for fiber and direct attach, and can be fed by DC. Both models fit desktop, wall mount and 19” rack mount applications.
 
For Volume Projects, Wi-Fi, LTE-WAN, and Power Over Ethernet (PoE) Can be Added
Upon request, for volume projects, Ingate can add Wi-Fi modules for the LAN side of the S22, S42 and S82 models. The S42 and S82 models can be equipped with a 4G/LTE wireless module for the WAN side connection as well as Power Over Ethernet.

Ingate’s SBC, the SIParator®/ Firewall®, is available as one of six hardware products or as various software variants for virtualized x86 hardware (for your own or for clouds).
High-Performance Voice Transcoding - Now Also Includes Opus and Silk
As presented in the March newsletter, since patent rights have elapsed, audio codec transcoding is now included as standard and Opus and Silk have been added. The performance is high, from 125 to 3000 transcoding sessions (for G.729 and G.722) as specified in the updated brochure.
 
Call Control REST API in the Dial Plan
This Call Control API was presented in the March newsletter and allows integration with external web services during call processing.

HTTP REST API for Configuring and Managing the SIParator Firewall and SBC
This added configuration REST API – also presented in the March newsletter - allows service providers to configure, provision and perform other management tasks from external applications via HTTP requests.
