Have you ever wondered how Homeward gets the data that supports its work? You can be a part of that effort this January 22th & 23th by volunteering at our winter 2020 Point-in-Time (PIT) count. The PIT count is a regional census of people that are experiencing homelessness.
With these positions, volunteers will be able to connect with their neighbors experiencing homelessness, hear their story and take an active role in changing the narrative of homelessness in Virginia.
We are looking to fill volunteer positions for both our service fair at Centenary United Methodist church and the Community Dinner at First Baptist Church.
Centenary Service Fair Duties:
- Matching with clients one to one in order to connect them with services and share a meal with them.
First Baptist Church Community Dinner Duties:
- Connecting with clients and completing a small servey
