The Snyder Village Home Care team has a new home!  The new office is located just up the street from Snyder Village at 215 W. Mt Vernon St in Metamora.  This location will allow for greater visibility to the community about our Home Care services.  The same great care will be provided as quickly and efficiently as before to the residents on the Snyder Village campus, and the Home Care team will continue to provide care to residents throughout all of Peoria, Tazewell, Woodford, and Marshall Counties.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at the new location on Friday, December 6 at 11:30 a.m.

An open house will take place on January 31, 2020 from 2 - 4 p.m.

Food service in our bistros
Help with activities in Assisted Living or the Health Center
Play piano for church services
Help decorate inside and outside for the Holidays
Help push and accompany residents on outings

Did you know that Snyder Village is building a "Resident In Need Fund" which will help us to continue to provide for Health Center residents who have exhausted their personal resources and are no longer able to pay for their care?  Currently, Medicaid only covers about 57% of the actual daily cost of caring for these residents.  This leaves $106 per day unfunded for each resident relying on Medicaid.  The shortfall of between $900,000 and $1,000,000 each year falls to Snyder Village to cover.

You can help!  By donating to the "Resident In Need Fund", you can help to provide care for a Health Center resident and bridge the Medicaid gap.  When you give...
$106 = you provide 1 day of resident care
$530 = you provide 5 days of resident care
$1,060 = you provide 10 days of resident care
$3,180 = you provide 30 days of resident care

It's been a busy month around Snyder Village!  Some highlights included: Health Center residents celebrated Activity Aide Bev Krumweide as she retired, Retirement Community residents enjoyed food and games with over 70 high school students from local faith-based organizations, and Assisted Living residents had fun honoring our Veterans.
