Former Trinity women's tennis standout Kilmeny Waterman Connor '88 will be inducted into the United States Tennis Association Missouri Valley Hall of Fame on Dec. 7 in Olathe, Kansas.
Connor will receive the accolade during the USTA Missouri Valley Annual Conference and Awards luncheon at the Olathe Conference Center.
As a junior player, Connor won the 1982 Missouri State High School Singles Championship. She also was ranked No. 1 in the Missouri Valley Girls 18s competition.
A native of Kansas City, Missouri, Connor began her collegiate career at Southern Methodist (TX) University. She transferred to Trinity in 1984 and had to sit out one season because of NCAA Division I requirements. Connor played for the Tigers in the 1985-86 through 1987-88 campaigns.
Connor is proud of her time as a Trinity Tiger, of her education, and friendships she developed.
"Trinity tennis was unique, as the only Division I sport on campus," Connor said. "There is so much amazing history there, and I am honored to have been part of that. I cherish having such wonderful, lifelong teammates who are still doing so many great things in and out of tennis!"
