Pasadena and Frewville Foodlands welcome BYO containers in South Australian first

Hughes recently worked with the award-winning Pasadena and Frewville Foodlands to launch a new bring-your-own container scheme designed to further reduce the use of single-use plastics.

A South Australian-first, Pack and Go allows customers to conveniently pre-purchase approved containers at a discounted rate from the stores at any time, with the containers then commercially cleaned, reused and swapped by the stores on a one-for-one basis with food purchases in order to maintain high standards of food safety.

The stores now accept the bring-your-own containers for a range of products including bulk foods, salads, cheeses, deli meats, spices, olives and antipasti. The scheme may later be extended to raw meats and other food items.

Hughes was engaged to provide event and media support for the launch, and generated coverage through ABC radio, Channel 7 and 9 News, The Advertiser and industry media. Advice was also provided on social media content. Read.
