Throughout their education, students spend up to one cumulative year with casual relief teachers. How do we ensure they get the same opportunities to develop and grow?
As a nation, we don’t currently have a clear picture of the teaching workforce. What is the retention rate of teachers in the first five years? Where are there shortages in specialisation? The Australian Teacher Workforce Data (ATWD) initiative will help answer these questions.
