New Connections

Last summer, I met with stakeholders across campus to help me understand what was needed from the Vice-President (Research).

While Research Western offers a vast array of services for every discipline, it became clear we needed to better communicate them to our community. Welcome to Research://:Notes.

This monthly communication will keep you abreast of opportunities, events and deadlines, while allowing us to celebrate some of Western’s research successes.

If you have anything you'd like to share with Western's Research community, please email research.comms@uwo.ca.

Dr. Sarah Prichard
Acting Vice-President (Research)

Western's first-ever Knowledge Exchange School

To help researchers bridge the gap between their academic research and real-world applications, Research Western has partnered with Western Libraries and the School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies to hold Western's inaugural Knowledge Exchange School, from December 10 to 12.

Boasting a full registration, the school aims to foster increased learning about the practical aspects of effective knowledge exchange and available resources to advance research at Western. Attendees will learn about resources and tools that can give them an edge in grant applications by learning how to develop more robust knowledge exchange plans, integrate EDI considerations, develop a variety of research outputs tailored to different audiences, and tell the story of their research for increased impact.

While registration is full, please contact Western's Knowledge Exchange and Impact Manager, Mariam Hayward, if you are interested in attending future opportunities.
