Good Afternoon!

For this week, there’s an article I’d like to talk about from one of my favorite therapists and author, Ron Taffel, Ph.D., where he shared his experiences with “staying remembered.”

What does that mean? That’s an excellent question.

In the article, he discusses how many of his younger clients (teens and young adults) had trouble remembering what they talked about in their therapy sessions. And this wasn’t just an issue at the start of the following week’s session. It was also an issue when he would try to recap at the end of the session they were in. Many of his clients and my own find themselves at a loss to describe how they just spent the last 50 minutes!

In this week’s blog, “A Millennial Approach: Helping Young Clients Remember Their Therapy Sessions,” we will describe both how Dr. Taffel helped his clients and how we at Rice Psychology Group are working with our clients to be more mindful, thoughtful, and “rememberful” in therapy.
