The Critter Courier

A place for pet owners to laugh, love and learn!

"Such short little lives our pets have to spend with us, and they spend most of it waiting for us to come home each day.
It is amazing how much love and laughter they bring into our lives and even how much closer we become with each other because of them."
-John Grogan, Marley and Me-
This is Pippa, and this is the look she gives you at 3am when you're standing in front of the refrigerator in your underwear, gallon of milk to your lips, brisket mashed in your other hand, the leftover container on the floor, meat and gravy dripping from your fingertips. You catch her eye, and she says, "Really?" Shame washes over you, and your shoulders slump before crawling back to bed, not even bothering to clean yourself up. As the darkness crawls in bed with you, you can hear Pippa in the kitchen, lapping up the spilled milk before attacking the brisket, and you wonder, Who was she looking out for?

EXTRA EXTRA, READ ALL ABOUT IT!
The Critter Chronicler:
A blog for your cat, dog, and maybe even a pollywog.

Many of you have reached out and requested more from Zach's storytelling and visit notes.  He is creative, sassy, funny and can downright turn a frown to a smile in his daily reports.  We have learned from your feedback that some of you are craving a light-hearted and funny read rather than the drudge of the depressing news, notifications and constant reminder of the day to day tasks and to dos!

Zachs blog is not a place for pet related purchases, recalls, or anything that forces you to do or think. It is a blog focused on fun, wit and at times will make you fall off your chair laughing!  If you are interested in following his blog to see things from fun daily visit reports (where your pets take on the role of characters and human characteristics), or if you want to read about some fictitious pet perception or approach to life, come follow his blog @ the Critter Chronicler. www.critterchronicler.com.

February Pet Spotlight!

Sable and Lana C.
We love to open the door and see their sweet smiles and wagging tails. They are the most fun girls around town. Sable and Lana love to see their critter sitters but what they love more is being outside playing or going for a walk. They love to patrol the neighborhood, sniff all the good smells and tell the squirrels that they are the bosses! They enjoy a good cuddle and their treat ball with extra peanut butter. We just love these sweet pups! They are always full of life, love and the biggest doll babies!

February Pet Spotlight!

Larry, Jack, Lexie and Lucky S.
Nothing makes us happpier than visit these precious kitties! They are always ready for their love and attention time. Lexie is such a sweet and social kitty who loves her play time. Lucky is a love bug and enjoy watch over her kingdom from her mommys bed. Jack loves to play fetch with laser and Larry is the boss of the house. They love when their sitters come to visit, so they can stick close to us and get lots of love and cuddles. They never fail to bring a smile to our faces! It's always such a joy when we get to visit with them!

In Memoriam

Recently, we had to say goodbye to our special friends, Tarzan B., Minnie H., Marble E., Sally S., Brady P., Jasmine D., Jasmine S. and Maddie T.
Please join us in remembering these sweet babies who have gone over the Rainbow Bridge! It's never easy saying goodbye!

GET THE SCOOP!!  CAT & DOG QUESTIONS PET OWNERS LOVE TO ASK

Do I need to vaccinate my indoor cat?

A vaccination against infectious diseases is recommended for all house cats and dogs. Although your pet may not go outside, these viral and bacterial infections can be transmited on you or your clothing or shoes. And if your pet accidentally gets out of the house, he or she should be protected against potentially fatal diseases. Vaccination for rabies is essential because of the public health consideration and protects you against a complaint if the pet bites or scratches someone at your home.
Collars are a vital part of dog ownership. They allow pet parents to walk their pup on a leash and they provide a place to hang ID and vaccination tags.
But if they are inside and you are not around, hanging tags can get caught on crates and other objects and cause choking, so be aware :)
