What's New at NBO
It’s hard for me to believe that we’ve almost reached the end of 2019! Where did this year go? This is a wonderful time for reflecting on what we have accomplished and what there is to look forward to.
For the first time in three years NBO will have a six-month period without any exhibits. Rooted, Revived, Reinvented: Basketry in America has finished traveling across the country in December. It is now on its way back to the University of Missouri. Once there the crates it traveled in will be unpacked, and each piece will be packed and sent back to the basket maker who created it. Collaborating with the University of Missouri Museum of Art and Archaeology, with special assistance from MU’s Departments of Art, Art Education, and Art History and Archaeology has been a wonderful learning experience for everyone involved on all levels.
Basketry Now 10 has closed at the Kentucky Museum. You can still view it on our website through December 31 and order a catalogue for that last minute present.
Take a look below at our farewell to the five NBO departing Board Members. We all think they are special people who devoted countless hours of volunteer time to NBO. They, along with all the other Board Members, are the reason we are the vibrant organization that exists today. In January I’ll introduce you to our four new Board Members. Each of them will bring their talent and skills to keep NBO moving forward.
The Members In Print exhibition entry time is from February 1 to March 15, 2020. You can see the prospectus with all the pertinent information to inspire your creativity so you’re prepared to enter through the CaFE system: Members In Print
Wishing you and your family the Happiest of Holidays!

PS. We are so grateful to our Conference Sponsors and magazine advertisers. They are wonderful NBO supporters!
