Miracle stories: What hard work and love can do
During the holidays we celebrate miracles in our lives. Here's one. Esther Ryoba was 12 when she and her sister Neema were orphaned. (They're pictured in 2010.) They were accompanying their mother's body for burial when their bus crashed in Arusha. LOHADA director Happiness Wambura rushed to the scene; the girls found a new home at Camp Joshua. Sponsors supported both girls through college. More than a decade since they came, Esther is a nurse working in LOHADA's Golden Grace Clinic. Neema is a teacher at Camp Joshua School. These sisters are a testament to how God works through supporters like you to change a child's tragedy into a beautiful new reality.
