Thank you so very much for your many prayers and encouragement these past 2 weeks! All the e-mails, text messages and cards (along with a few wonderful meals!) were the perfect balm to my soul.

We asked you to pray...

“For wisdom with schedule, time with family, and time of spiritual renewal each day.”  How God has answered: 

United Airlines, in response to my medical need, changed our flight's departure and return city from Chicago to Traverse City for our planned Southern Cal Thanksgiving trip to see our oldest daughter and family.  They also gave us a far better flight schedule with easier layovers…with all the changes costing less than $200.  On the spiritual renewal  side, praying through 2 Corinthians 4 and 5 each morning has been a source of   renewal and intimacy in my (Patti’s) walk with Jesus.  

“For physical and emotional stamina in going to Dayton, Ohio to conduct a Productive Conflict Workshop…that I would be able to focus, facilitate and teach well.”  How God answered:

I profoundly felt His presence and provision throughout my trip, especially through the day of training.  It went amazingly well! (And God provided many kind folks to help me with my luggage 😊 ),

“For surgery timing and scheduling.”  How God is Answering:

I now have a second surgery scheduled on December 12, identical to the first, to remove a small area of margin that was ’not clean enough’.  We will then meet with the Radiation Oncologist on the 16th of December to determine when will begin (usually 3-4 weeks following surgery) as well as the length and extent of the radiation (usually 6 weeks).

“For our family…as they process the realities of their parents ‘aging". 

The mere  mention of the word ‘cancer’ seems to bring that reality up close and personal. This is an ongoing prayer and process for all of us at some level.
