This wine was a very light, pale yellow color. On the nose, there is some apple taste coming through. There was also some lemon or citrus notes that are very refreshing. Light and fruity. Stone fruits, but not too sweet, even though there is a scent of honey.

This dry white wine is made from several grapes varieties and has a clear gold greenish colour. Grenache blanc brings roundness in the mouth with white flowers nuances, Clairette brings grapefruit, acacias, Roussane and Marsanne bring stone fruits and complexity, and Sauvignon blanc brings exotic fruits aromas.

Winemaking at low temperature enhances its intense aromas.

The wine pours an almost translucent bright yellow, with hints of green reflecting off the glass. The nose is instantly defined and distinctive, offering up bold orchard fruits, crisp pears, and lemon curd, all of which come together in a rich, creamy off-dry style that is extremely appealing. There is a deft touch of minerality, playing nicely against the subtle sweetness of the wine. The finish shows excellent length and fine overall balance. Perfect as an aperitif, well-chilled.

Although Ripasso is not quite as powerful as Amarone, it possesses many of the same qualities. Referred to by manay as a “baby Amarone,” it is suitable for more frequent consumption. Full-boded with ripe fruit aromas and flavors. It is smooth and elegant with a persistent, warm, finish.
