Clouds and rain could not stop us from having a great time on our cruise to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. Thanks to the many wonderful people working behind the scenes at MK Quilts who allowed us to break-away for most of the 11-days that we were away. (MK was using the internet plan 85% of the time, so I know it probably seemed like she was still here.)

MK Quilts is Changing!
We are starting our review of the past year and making plans for 2020. We will continue to provide the best training and support for the computerized longarms, but we also want to expand our services for our piecing quilters. MK Quilts started as, and will remain, a 'quilting studio' and not a retail storefront. If you want to know what we implemented in 2019 and where we think we are going in 2020, please read this BLOG POST. You can comment and provide us with your ideas as well.

Price Hikes Confirmed for January 2020
We were telling the truth in November when we said that you would never pay less for a new system. We have seen the new price list for 2020 and you are looking at increases of $500 to $1000 beginning in January on new machines.
The last day for shipping in 2019 is December 20th.
We will gladly work with anyone to get their order in before this price increase. But we understand that many may not be ready until after doing their taxes for 2019. So we are making a special offer...

Lock-in 2019 pricing until March 1st, 2020
Place a refundable* deposit of $1000 with MK Quilts by the end of 2019 and we will honor a 2019 price quote until March 1st. Plenty of time to get your taxes back. If you can not close the deal by then, we will return your deposit (*less any credit card fees).

In order to improve your online shopping experience with MK Quilts, we have moved our products to a new platform. Product prices will no longer include shipping but will calculate automatically based on the product and where it is shipping. This should lead to overall lower prices. Customers may also create accounts. Please provide feedback if something does not look right to you.

MK scheduled a last-minute training event in North Carolina for this coming weekend. Check the website for details.
If you would like to attend an event in your area, MK has said, "If you build it, I will come." So if you want MK in your area, start planning it now. You do not have to be an MK Quilts machine owner to sponsor an event. Anyone can also request private training at the MK Quilts studio in Florida. Make it part of your next vacation.

Tech Tips

Samson and Mr. MK work hard to make sure any support issues are taken care of as quickly as possible. To facilitate scheduling their time, we have implemented an online process by which anyone can reserve an hour of time on their calendar. Please go to the "Contact Us" page on the mkquilts.com website.

We have run out of time to get into any detailed tech tips for this month, but we want to remind you about scams. Simply do not trust someone that you do not personally know. Your phone number and email address are easy to get. If you did not call the person, do not share private information with them. If you want to give money away, simply send it to the MK Quilts shop address found on our website.

Thread Club Members Submit Your Selection

Used Machines for Sale
USED MACHINES - We have several new owners that are selling their relatively new Avante machines with Pro-Stitcher on them. Some with years of warranty left. If you know someone looking to get started but has a smaller budget, let us connect you with these people through our website.
