INTRODUCTION

We celebrate the Feast of Christ the King this Sunday, remembering that our king's life ended on a cross. Today we worship this wounded and resurrected God, who promises us a place in Paradise.

Colossians 1:12-20 Jesus is given all the titles of a king.
Luke 23:35-43 On the cross, Jesus promises heaven to the good thief.

NOVEMBER LISTS

Please find the sheets and envelopes in the church porch. They can be placed in the basket or handed in to the chapel house. All envelopes are opened and the stipends will be offered for Masses for your dead.

ADVENT WREATH

We are looking for bags of clippings of conifer (NOT PINE) to construct our Advent wreath. Please leave them at the back door of the chapel house..

TRAVELLING NATIVITY

As Mary and Joseph travelled to Bethlehem they relied on the kindness of friends, family and strangers. Could your family give them shelter this Advent? You would receive small nativity figures from another family in the parish during Advent before taking the figures to another home in the parish. In this way the figures travel through our parish community on their way to the church on Christmas Eve. Full instructions on what to do and where to go will be provided. If you are interested please contact Catriona James by email at catrionamccoll@doctors.org.uk for more information.

ADVENT GIVING TREE

As is our tradition in Saint Joseph's, we will be having a "Giving Tree" during the season of Advent. This is an opportunity for parishioners to provide gifts for those in need. Advent begins 1st December so we need details by Sunday 24th November.
