Granada Reports features HMR Circle & the VDS

Tune into Granada Reports at 6pm on Monday the 30th of December for a feature on HMR Circle and the Volunteer Drivers Service!
ITV Reporter, Andrew Fletcher spent a couple of days with us recently to film at the Kirkholt Lunch Club-Club and travelling with the Volunteer Drivers Service.
The piece will feature Barbara, a HMR Circle and Volunteer Drivers Service Member and her journey to the Kirkholt Lunch Club-Club with Stephen, one of our amazing Volunteer Drivers.

Our bumper December & January Events Calendar in now live with well over 70+ events and activities to choose from.
Highlights have been our Circle Christmas Celebratory Concert on the 13th of December with TV celebrity Sue Devaney supported by the wonderful Phil!
Other highlights have been our Christmas Quiz in partnership Shaw & District Ladies Group and it wouldn't have been Christmas without our ever popular Festival Lunch at Hopwood Hall's Riverside Restaurant!
Coming up in January are some fantastic events including a tour of the BBC, some amazing meals, theatre trips, as well as our ever popular quiz and Ten Pin Bowling!
Probably the event we want Members to attend is Suggestion Time, as without Members suggestions and ideas the calendar wouldn't be as fun and exciting as it is!

International visitors continue to beat a path to the HMR Circle door! The latest (and largest) group to visit us from overseas came from the Center for Community Social Economy at Yongsan, South Korea.
With the group being so large David Bottomley, CEO Rochdale AFC kindly offered the boardroom at the Crown Oil Arena to HMR Circle to accommodate the visitors.
After the meeting both Rochdale Hornets and Rochdale AFC, along with HMR Circle presented the visitors with mementos of their visit with the South Korean visitors reciprocating.
We have already had more enquiries from South Korea as well as closer to home, as we look forward to telling the HMR Circle story in 2020 and beyond.
