2019 is almost over but we’ve still got a few tricks up our sleeve for you before the year is done 😎. We launched our brand new community call series this week (more on this below) and lots more.

☎️ The Community Call

We've started a monthly community call as a way to bring the Hasura team and community closer together. Each call will cover the open source work our team is doing, live demos of new & upcoming features as well as things on our road map.

Our very first community call happened earlier this week. We previewed Hasura Actions - an upcoming feature that makes it super easy to add business logic to Hasura. Hasura user Jason McCallister taught everyone how to deploy Hasura with Digital Ocean & K8s.

Using Hasura in Production?

Here are the highlights from the v1.0.0-beta.9 & beta.10 releases:

We’ve added a few tools that make it easier to manage migrations & metadata: You can now squash migrations using the migrate squash command in the Hasura CLI (a popular user request). Different sets of metadata can be compared using the metadata diff command & metadata is now exported from the server ordered in a deterministic fashion.
Upgrading & downgrading your Hasura version has gotten simpler: You can upgrade to beta.9 from any version & you can downgrade to beta.8 just by changing the docker image tag.
