In the Spotlight:
Sarah Smee and Nicky Coates, Baban Boutique
This month we would like to introduce you to Nicky Coates and Sarah Smee who run Baban boutique in The Buttermarket.

Who are you and what drives you?
We are both hard working capable women and mothers.
Together we have dealt with illness, divorce, marriage and trauma, and have come out smiling, chinking a glass of wine together!!
10 years ago we became business partners and set out with the vision of creating a unique environment for women to buy on point fashion locally at an affordable price. With the help of a fantastic all women Team ( even the window cleaner .........), we have achieved this aim, carving out a successful business that does exactly that!

Tell us about Baban Boutique.
Baban is a unique boutique experience , its aim is to provide stylish, affordable fashion to women of all shapes and sizes.
Baban Boutique offers a personable tailored service that cannot be achieved in a department store or online.
The girls at Baban know their stock !! Equally they know what will suit you and will tell you when it doesn’t !!
Collections , invariably French or Italian, are sourced every 2 weeks, often styles are offered in select colours and they never repeat a design, so the collection stays fresh and individual.

 Why Thame ?
We both live locally and really enjoy working in Thame, and like the great sense of community and a good range of restaurants and bars it has. We actually opened our first Boutique in Old Amersham and quickly gained a reputation for offering affordable stylish fashion. With this confidence, we took the plunge and opened the Thame Boutique in 2013 and haven’t looked back. We love being based in The Buttermarket - it has quite an Artisan feel to it with its selection of wonderful independent shops.

Do your staff commute to/from Haddenham & Thame Parkway?

If so please pass on this information:

Oxfordshire County Council is working in partnership with Buckinghamshire County Council and Sustrans to investigate the aspirational Haddenham and Thame Greenway scheme, a plan for an off-road walking and cycling route connecting Haddenham and Thame Parkway Station and Thame.

On 25 November they launched an online survey to help them understand how local people currently travel between these locations and the potential benefits of delivering an off-road route.

The online survey can be completed using the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/HaddenhamThameGreenway
The survey is open for responses until Monday 9 December 2019.
