The 10th Annual Small Business Saturday was this past Saturday. Businesses across the BID handed out Shop Small swag, shared local shopping guides, and offered deep discounts on merchandise for shoppers. Check out some of our favorite photos from the biggest shopping weekend of the year below.
Thank you to the CCA Metro Carpenter's Union who donated 125 turkeys to Mosholu Preservation Corporation. Together MPC, the BID, and Montefiore's Office of Government and Community Relations donated 125 turkey baskets to local families complete with fresh veggies, canned goods, and local shopping guides.

We hosted our annual Holiday Tree Lighting in partnership with Councilman Andrew Cohen's office. With the help of Santa we donated 250 toys to local kids and shared holiday music and hot chocolate with Norwood families.

Our annual Holiday Tree lighting was a blast this year!
We kept warm with hot chocolate, enjoyed great music from DJ LR3, and passed out toys to hundreds of local kids with the help of Santa. Thank you to Councilman Andrew Cohen for sponsoring and for Senator Jamaal Bailey and Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz for attending and helping us celebrate the holiday season.

Reminder, the Keeper's House is officially a public food scrap drop off location! Stop by the house Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 12-4 pm to drop off your food scraps and turn your food waste into compost.
