December, 2019

Dear Father:  Help us love this time of  year. We can get so stressed out with all the things we need to do and the gifts we need to buy.   We may not even be looking forward to family gatherings because of strained relationships.   But You, Jesus make the difference.                       You really DO!  Help us remember that.

Staff Prayer and Praise Request for December, 2019

Colin Leaver – Executive Director
Prayer:
- We are establishing the terms for a partnership with Bolivia. This comes from knowing we have financial need, and according to God's math, that means we need to be generous. Please pray as we seek God's provision for them and us.
- November is budget development month for QYU. Our board of directors will review all our budgets in December and approve in January after 2019 finances are done. Please pray for wisdom in our discernment, and for big God sized faith and action.
- Please pray for the Leaver family as I believe we have experienced a serious season of spiritual warfare. We are thankful for good Christian family and friends who are leaning in with prayer and help.

Praise:
- I am very thankful for Aaron* who is volunteering at his public high school by doing a spiritual development survey with other teens. This leads to lots of presentations of the Gospel and Aaron is really enjoying expressing his faith
- In November we started a training program for volunteers that demonstrates how to start spiritual conversations with youth. In December we will do training on Growing faith in youth. We are thankful for the 30+ volunteers at the Beacon who serve the 60+ youth who attend the Beacon regularly.
- For an incredible experience with YFC Bolivia that has helped shape our understanding of healthy ministry and passion. Please remember to pray for our Bolivian YFC family who are experiencing lots of stress from their government instability.
*names changed to protect the identity.
