KC Streetcar Gets Ready to Jam For The Holidays
(Kansas City, Missouri) – Enjoy the holidays downtown and on board the KC Streetcar this season with the KC Streetcar Holiday Jam.
Starting this weekend, the Kansas City Streetcar is hosting ten live music performances on board the streetcars from November 30 through December 14. All music will take place Fridays and Saturdays and features local musicians performing traditional holiday tunes, covers and original music. Styles of music include Folk, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Latin, Rock, Indie, Classical, and Western Swing.
"The KC Streetcar Holiday Jam is an opportunity to enhance the streetcar ridership experience for our passengers while providing a new platform for local local musicians," said Donna Mandelbaum, Communications Director with the KC Streetcar Authority.
The KC Streetcar Holiday Jam schedule is:
- Saturday, Nov. 30, 12:00-2:00pm: Carolers of Note in The City Market
- Saturday, Nov. 30, 4:00-6:00pm: Riz Canady on board the Streetcar
- Saturday, Nov. 30, 5:00-7:00pm: The Typing Pool on board the Streetcar
- Friday, Dec. 6, 4:00-6:00pm: The Center State on board the Streetcar
- Friday, Dec. 6, 7:00-9:00pm: The Youth Symphony of Kansas City on board two streetcars
- Saturday, Dec. 7, 3:00-5:00pm: Cowtown Country Club on board the Streetcar
- Saturday, Dec. 7, 4:00-6:00pm: Love, Mae C on board the Streetcar
- Friday, Dec. 13, 5:00-7:00pm: Enrique Chi on board the Streetcar
- Saturday, Dec. 14, 1:00-3:00pm: Tevin Williams on board the Streetcar
- Saturday, Dec. 14, 4:00-6:00pm: Thunder Jacket on board the Streetcar
