Called Congregational Meeting

A congregational meeting is called for Sunday, December 1, immediately following worship, for the purpose of electing a nominating committee.

Advent begins this Sunday! Pick up your advent devotional materials in the Narthex!

Please use #gpctuscaloosa whenever you post to or about Grace on social media. This is a small but powerful way to promote the work, life, and ministry of our church.
Our sincere thanks to all who have already participated in this year’s Stewardship Campaign, Growing and Giving with Grace. Each individual dollar, each hour of time and/or gift of talent enables us to better fulfill our mission: “Celebrating Christ’s universal love, we seek to do justice, embrace kindness, and walk humbly with God.” And, it is not too late for you to participate. Please prayerfully consider what you are able to give and/or do to support the ministries of Grace Presbyterian. Pick up your pledge card and Time and Talent brochures today.
   All Classes Meet Sundays @ 9:45 a.m.
  • Infants: “Growing in Grace and Gratitude”
  • Children: Through December’s story, Isaiah Promised, Jesus Fulfilled, children will learn the kind of Messiah Isaiah taught us to look for, why God sent the Messiah into the world, and how we know Jesus is the one we have been waiting for. These lessons will do this by unlocking the "secrets" of the titles and names Isaiah used to describe this coming servant king.  Dec. 1 Rotation: Storytelling in the Blue Rm.
  • Middle School: grades 5-6-7, Connect. December stories focus on Moses.
This event is for Kindergarten-5th graders and cost is $50 per person.  A parent/adult must accompany K-1st graders.  Register online by Dec. 27, pslpusa.org/retreats. Talk with Leslie Poss for the packing list and for more information.
Scholarships are available.
Friday, Dec. 6th, 6-8 p.m.
The evening begins with a light meal and ends with crafts and activities designed for all ages.

Kitchen Care and Earth Care

2 Gentle Reminders

  • A gentle reminder that our Grace policy is to avoid Styrofoam consumption at the church whenever possible. Please do not bring any disposable Styrofoam products (cups, plates, food containers) to Grace. Reusable and recyclable products are more earth friendly alternatives.
  • All of us wish there were a kitchen angel to clean up spills and leftover foods, but sadly there is no such helper. When you use the kitchen (s), please schedule enough time to clean up, and be sure to take all leftovers with you when you leave (unless you have a plan for the food to be donate, or have otherwise checked with a staff member). This will greatly reduce food waste, since abandoned food has to be discarded.
Is your event or committee meeting missing from the official church calendar? Please use the “Calendar Request Form” hanging beside the calendar in the office to reserve your space and date. When your use has been approved, a staff member will add your meeting or event to the calendar.
