Happy holidays! As the year winds down, it is the perfect time to reflect on how much we have accomplished. Just this year, we have received more than $10,000 in grant money, over 200,000 diapers, and we have provided thousands of diapers to families in need. But it's not over yet! Please consider donating to JLCV on this Giving Tuesday so we can continue this amazing work.

Tuesday, December 3rd is Giving Tuesday and JLCV needs you! Share the message on social media about the great work of your League, and invite them to consider supporting our mission this #GivingTuesday.
It's easy! You can amplify our message in one of the following ways:
- Share the #GivingTuesday post from the JLCV Facebook page, and don't be afraid to personalize it. Tell your network why you are proud to be a member of JLCV.
- Or, write your own social media post about why YOU support the mission of JLCV, link to the "support" section of the website, and don't forget to use hashtags #GivingTuesday #JLCV #JLGives
- Not all giving is monetary! Talk up the work of the League to your family, friends, co-workers, and network, and invite someone new to join you at an upcoming Diaper Repackaging event. Sharing a Diaper Repackaging Facebook event is an easy way to give the details and make that invitation.

2019 CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTION TAX RECEIPTS

In January 2020, a tax receipt will be issued via email to all members who have made a contribution to the Annual Fund in calendar year 2019. Additionally, all members will receive a letter from Jenn Papillo outlining the appropriate tax treatment of membership dues, given that both JLCV and AJLI are 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations. Please watch your inboxes for this important information, and email treasurer@jlcv.org with any questions.

Members are reminded to submit expense reimbursement forms, accompanied by itemized receipts, within 30 days of incurring an expense on behalf of JLCV. If you would prefer to forgo reimbursement, you can contribute that amount to the annual fund by marking the appropriate box on the form. All JLCV expenses must be accounted for as either a reimbursement or allocation to the Annual Fund. The expense reimbursement form can be found here. Forms and receipts can be submitted to Jenn Papillo by email at treasurer@jlcv.org. Photos or scanned copies are perfectly acceptable!

The diaper bank has been HUMMING lately with League members (shout out to the awesome and enthusiastic new member class!) and outside groups including Seventh Generation. In December we have three outside groups coming with a total of about 45 volunteers (!!!!) so we'll start 2020 in great shape. Despite how full the warehouse seems right now (which it is) -- the Vermont Foodbank continues to hold 12 1/2 pallets for us--not to mention the ones that continue to be stored by the awesome Nancy Warner. Inventory is, thankfully, not a problem right now!
The new members are going to run a diaper drive that will focus on Pull-Ups ®
and will help out with a few other initiatives that will strengthen the bank -- they bring lots of great ideas! Our National Diaper Bank Network donation didn't include Pull-Ups ®, so any drives we run for the foreseeable future will focus on those.

Happy December!
We have two more volunteer opportunities to close out the year. We have a Diaper Repackaging on December 3rd from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. We have a book sorting opportunity at the Fletcher Free Library on December 9th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Both opportunities have spaces.
Stay tuned as Amanda, Mary-Katherine and I will be putting together the calendar for the second half of the year soon and please feel free to reach out to me with ideas for volunteer opportunities.
