Happy Thanksgiving from the Mosses!
We are grateful for so much this year and our G2G family is a huge part of that! This year couldn't have happened without you. Your prayers and support made it possible for us to complete an entire year of language school, better preparing us in so many ways for ministry in Nicaragua. Thank you for your invaluable care for us as a family and your financial support that allow us to serve in Latin America, telling the coming generations the glorious deeds of the Lord!

So what's next? We'll be spending the next three months in three different countries. Read on to hear about our plans and prayer requests in each place!

Costa Rica

Its hard to believe we have less than three weeks left here in Costa Rica! They will be full of taking final tests, packing bags and saying "good goodbyes" to our life here in San José. We look back at our year here, grateful for the multitude of ways God grew us (not just in Spanish!) and provided for us. We will definitely be leaving a part of our hearts here!

Please pray:
  • For the stamina to stay focused and committed through the last couple weeks of class. Senioritis is a real thing, even as adults!
  • Please pray for wisdom as we help the kids navigate all of the upcoming changes. Evelyn is older and more aware of these life changes now, so it will be a lot in six weeks for a two and a half year old.
  • That we would prioritize the end of our time here well so the most important "final things" don't get lost in the rush.

The US

We will be in Indiana from December 17 through the end of January and we're all SO excited! Please let us know if you're interested in getting together and we'll get it on our calendar. We know it is a busy time of year, so we hope that scheduling in advance will be helpful for everyone who might be interested.

Please pray:
  • For Kohen's tongue and lip tie surgery scheduled for December 20th. Please pray for a successful procedure and quick, complication-free healing
  • For protection from sickness for the whole family during travel and over the holidays
  • For uplifting and refreshing time reconnecting with friends and family

Nicaragua

We will be heading back to Nicaragua at the beginning of February and are looking forward to a great "second start!"  León has long been the intellectual center of the country and is home to many universities, including the second oldest university in Central America. We understand how formative the college years are and are passionate about walking through those years with students, encouraging them to strive for generational change and live as faithful disciples as they prepare for the real world.  With that in mind, we are renting and preparing to open a ministry house where university students live in community and participate in life-on-life discipleship.

Please pray:
  • For the right students to be a part of the program the first year
  • That God would provide strong, mature Nicaraguan leadership for the ministry
  • That we would quickly be able to find and purchase a reliable vehicle
  • For our family: for health, and wisdom in how we "set up life" in our new home
In order to finish preparing the ministry center to house students, we have several one-time purchases to make. If you are looking for somewhere meaningful to give this year-end, please consider giving towards the G2G ministry center. Some of the pressing needs are:
  • Bunkbeds & mattresses
  • Large dining room table
  • Desks
  • Folding tables & chairs
  • Dishware
  • Multi-media equipment

A Few Snapshots of Our Life in Costa Rica
VIDEO - Sunday morning worship service here in San José. We love our church and are sad to be leaving it when we move. Our pastor and his family have become dear friends and we're planning to continue our friendship and partnership in ministry from neighboring countries!
Home sweet home this trimester! We refer to each of our past houses by their color. This, for obvious reasons, is the "green house".
We are still amazed each day we step out of our house. We see God's glory everywhere from this street to the tops of the mountains in the distance.
These two are growing so fast and becoming great friends. It is so fun to watch their relationship grow!
Kurtis has enjoyed working on several video projects with his friend Ethan "telling stories of the harvest", including this one that they filmed for Ethan's church.
Our "maestras" have been an incredible blessing to us this year. They pour into us each and every day, helping us learn the ins and outs of the culture and teaching us far more than Spanish!

We are going to miss all of the parks near our house. Without yards, parks become quite the desirable commodity! This one is right across the street and we enjoy it almost daily as long as it isn't raining.
