DC PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOL BOARD ANNOUNCES SEARCH FOR NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
NOV. 18 (WASHINGTON, DC) — The DC Public Charter School Board Chair Rick Cruz today outlined the specifics of the nationwide search for a new Executive Director to replace Scott Pearson who is departing at the end of May.  This search includes input from public charter school students, families, school leaders, elected officials, and the public.

“This is an important position in the District and we want the very best and right person for the job,” Cruz said.  “DC’s public charter schools provide quality options for nearly half of the public school students in the city. For that reason, we want to hear from members of the public as we are seeking opinions and perspectives on the challenges and opportunities facing the next executive director”

Cruz said that there will be several opportunities for input from students, families, school leaders, elected officials and the public to offer input.
